Dave Evans Memorial Rugby Match 2023

On Friday 21st April the April showers held off and the Dave Evans memorial match went ahead with Dave’s widow Pamela in attendance. The match itself was a hard fought affair and the honours were shared through 12-12 draw! Well done to both teams and thanks to the staff and students who came along to support the players and remember Mr Evans who was a dedicated and much-loved teacher at WBGS for 49 years who served as Head of Biology, Head of Sixth Form and, for a remarkable 35 years, 2nd XV rugby coach and sadly passed away in September 2021

Mr Wallis
