MFL Language Club Christmas Visit to the Chase Care Home

Christmas is a magical  time of  the year and  I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity once again  to add some festive French cheer to the residents of the Chase Care home.  We had been rehearsing  French carols over the last few weeks  during the French club with Mrs Twyford  and  last Thursday after a quick  run through  we all   walked down to the care home.  We were warmly  welcomed in and took up our positions with the Spanish club performing first , followed by the German club and finally our French club .  This was my second year  performing  to the residents and it was lovely to see both new  and also some  familiar faces.  The residents seemed to really enjoy the songs and they warmly applauded our performance . We then handed out gifts and cards and we were offered some delicious refreshments including doughnuts and biscuits.  All that remained  was to then take a  group photo with the German, French, Spanish club and all the musicians that played. This is an experience that I will not forget and I hope this encourages others  to join  one of these clubs in the future.
