We are fortunate to have a thriving selection of sporting clubs locally which students may choose to join outside of school for their own personal interest. Some community sports club share flyers from time to time which might be of interest to students with details of how to sign-up or try out.
Please note: these organisations are not linked to Watford Grammar School for Boys. Clubs detailed are independently organised and we share details for community interest only.

West Herts Cricket Club 2024
West Herts Cricket Club are looking to recruit players of all ages (Y7-Y13). WHCC has “Clubmark” registration and has enjoyed a long association with the Watford Grammar School for Boys. Not only have we used the Sports Hall for indoor training (currently suspended pending renovation work) but also play a lot of our home games at the New Field.
Our home ground is close by at Park Avenue and we already have a lot of WBGS pupils in our ranks.
We have a full programme of matches during the summer term and holidays, and are running indoor nets locally whilst the Sports Hall is under renovation.
